ABOUT THE WILTON COMMUNITY CENTER

In 2014, a major reconstruction of C.W. Dillard Elementary School was undertaken by Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD) which did not include the use of the existing Multi-purpose Room. EGUSD voted to transfer the building to Sacramento County Regional Parks Department at no cost. While EGUSD completed the construction of the new Dillard Elementary School, the groundwork was laid to turn the site into a vibrant community hub.

The Wilton Community Center Nonprofit was founded with the vision of preserving a space dedicated to bringing the Wilton community together. Our nonprofit status was officially recognized in 2016 and on September 30, 2017, we celebrated the grand opening of the Wilton Community Center which included new restrooms provided by Sacramento County. Since that time, the Wilton Community Center Nonprofit has worked tirelessly to raise funds to improve and maintain the facility, providing a welcoming space for all. The Nonprofit partners with the County Service Area #4B Council to maintain and manage use of the County owned property and to provide volunteer support for fundraising and planning community events. Our investments back into the center include:

New window coverings
Updated lighting
Interior painting and baseboards
PA system
Storage shed
Ongoing building repairs and maintenance

The Wilton Community Center hosts and supports a wide range of community events throughout the year, including:

Winterfest and Parade
Co-sponsor of the Wilton Firefighter Chili Cook-Off

UCCE Master Gardener Classes

Giving Back

Giving back is at the heart of our mission. With the support of donors, sponsors, and event proceeds, we've contributed to local causes and organizations, including:

Sacramento Firefighters Burn Institute
Wilton Animal Rescue Non-Profit
Dillard Elementary School PTO
Wilton Memorial Rose Garden
Wilton Firefighters Association

We also assist the Wilton Rose Garden by facilitating donations and covering maintenance expenses.
