CHILI COOK-OFF BOOTH OFFICIAL RULES

 

  • Your completed registration and $40 will hold your space.  The $40 will be refunded to you at the end of the event, provided you participate.
  • Contestant’s check-in/register at Wilton Community Center starting at 7:00am. No set-up will be allowed after 10:00am.
  • The cooking of chili will begin after registration and must be ready to sample by 11:00am once the chili kits are available for purchase.
  • Garnishments are allowed for public sampling of chili ONLY. Garnishments are NOT allowed with the pint collected for judging.
  • Chili samples for judging will be picked up at 12:00pm and judging of the chili will begin at 12:30pm with the winner announced at 3:00pm. Chili booth holders can begin vacating their site beginning at 3:00pm.
  • Each contestant will be assigned a number and a pint container. The container will be collected at the time of judging. The decision of the judging shall be final.
  • Contestants are responsible for supplying all of the following: your own cooking stove (preferably propane), a ware wash station (see example in attachment), all your needed utensils, tables, chairs tents and all ingredients needed for your chili. Hand washing stations will be provided.
  • Sanitizer Test Strips (for the ware wash stations) and Fire Extinguishers will be provided.
  • NO POWER WILL BE PROVIDED
  • NO GENERATORS ARE ALLOWED
  • Chili booths are 12x12.
  • Contestants must make at least 10 gallons of chili to allow for judging and chili kit tasting.
  • All ingredients MUST be assembled and cooked on-site due to health considerations.
  • Meat may be precooked and vegetables precut. No clean-up will be available on-site.
  • Chili kits (Spoons, bowls & napkins) provided by the WFA.
  • Chili Cooking Only - NO sales, of any kind, are allowed from chili booths.

 

Your completed registration & payment must both be received by 9.26.26 to be included in the event program. Registrations and payments received after 9.26.26 will NOT be included in the event program

 

* Due to insurance requirements, no personal alcoholic beverages are allowed on the premises during this event.
