About the event
Petal & Grain Specialty Sourdough Master Class
Come learn the art of making classic sourdough bread from start to finish with Petal & Grain!
This hands-on class is designed for beginners who want to take the intimidation out of sourdough and learn the techniques needed to confidently bake at home.
During this class, you’ll receive 3 hours of live instruction and demonstration covering the process of making sourdough, start to finish.
We’ll cover techniques such as how to care for and feed your starter, how to mix a loaf of sourdough, how to perform stretch and folds, how to shape your loaf, and how to score your bread and prepare it for baking as well as demystifying discard, what it is and how do you use it.
You’ll learn some tried and true recipes for success at home, review basic tools and materials used in sourdough baking, and how to add simple inclusions such as herbs and other goodies to your loaves and there will be plenty of time for questions throughout the class.
